Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Material Handler to work at John Deere in Paton, IA. This 1st shift role runs 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with possible overtime on Fridays.

The position involves receiving, moving, and shipping material, using forklifts and other equipment, and maintaining a safe, organized work area. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or experience in manufacturing, good math and record-keeping skills, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 1–3 years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and use basic math for measurements.
• Good attendance and reliable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Receives, checks, assigns locations, stores and delivers material.
• Operates power driven equipment to move material and tools.
• Loads, unloads, and ships material; prepares crates or boxes as needed.
• Prepares production setup kits and tooling per instructions.
• Sorts and counts material and tools; ensures accuracy.
• Handles returns and inspects for disposition.
• Maintains safety and housekeeping in work area.
• Maintains records of work performed.
• Supports team members with other tasks as needed.
• Moves and positions loads safely.
• Uses equipment like forklifts and conveyors as required.
• Complies with safety equipment standards (boots, gloves, glasses).
