Job summary

IES is seeking a Material Handler to safely move, store, and distribute materials within our Manitowoc facility, ensuring production continuity and inventory accuracy. You will support production with timely material flow and maintain orderly storage areas.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and pallet jacks, performing cycle counts, and following safety protocols in a fast-paced environment. Prior warehouse/manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in material handling, warehousing, or a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred, onsite training available).
• Basic understanding of inventory control and warehouse management procedures.
• Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and material specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and distribute materials, parts, and products to designated areas.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
• Ensure materials are delivered to production lines in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts as needed.
• Organize and maintain storage areas to optimize space and accessibility.
• Follow safety protocols for handling hazardous materials and operating equipment.
• Assist in packaging, labeling, and preparing shipments for delivery.
• Communicate inventory shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Keep work areas clean and free from safety hazards.
