Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking a Material Handler for an onsite, temp-to-hire role in Milwaukee, WI with 5-day workweeks. Both 1st and 2nd shifts are available, with overtime eligible. You will read blueprints, move and stage materials, and ensure timely preparation for production.

The position requires 1-3 years in manufacturing and forklift certification is preferred. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, be fluent in English, and be ready to pass a competency test and

Qualifications

1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience as a material handler is preferred.
Forklift certified preferred.
Ability to read blueprints to be able to pick appropriate materials.
Critical thinker who can make decisions and act on them.
Ability to follow instructions.
Possess ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Read, write and speak English fluently.
High school diploma or GED.
Must pass competency test and pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints to determine materials necessary for projects as well as timelines to prepare for projects.
Move materials to work areas in preparation for building product.
Coordinate and stage materials quickly and safely.
