Responsibilities

• Operate forklift following safety guidelines and training
• Load, unload, and store building materials from trailers or rail cars, minimizing damage
• Store and retrieve materials (piece pick and/or bulk)
• Prepare paperwork for distribution and shipping
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance of equipment
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area
• Assist with periodic inventory counts as needed

Qualifications

• At least one year of forklift/warehouse experience
• Proficient and safe operation of forklift
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to read and understand sales orders, purchase orders, safety materials
• Attention to detail and organizational skills, basic math skills
• Safe work record and stable employment history
