Job description

We are looking for a 1st Shift Material Handler, Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 2:30 pm, to join our VALUES-based organization at Specialty Building Products in Nashville, TN 37201.

In this role you will focus on
Responsibilities
  1. Safely operate equipment such as Combilift, forklifts, chainsaws, or other machinery to complete tasks including loading, unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders, and transporting materials.
  2. Band, wrap, and tape products as needed.
  3. Accurately pull daily orders and assist with inventory variances, order accuracy, and track and trace issues.
  4. Read and understand tickets and product codes, and be able to read a tape measure.
Qualifications
  1. Forklift experience and certification are preferred but not required.
  2. Prior lumber or engineered lumber experience is desired.
  3. Minimum of one year warehouse distribution experience.
  4. Strong attention to detail and the ability to stand and work on your feet throughout the shift.
  5. Ability to read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels, and reports.
