Job summary

Boise Cascade is seeking a Material Handler (Forklift Operator) to join our Phoenix warehouse team. This role focuses on receiving, selecting, and loading materials, operating a forklift safely, and providing basic internal/external customer service to help fulfill daily orders.

Candidates should be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, follow OSHA safety procedures, and use hand tools and a chainsaw as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience.
• Able to understand and follow safety/work instructions.
• Comfortable with physical work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to use hand tools and chainsaw.
• Forklift experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with building materials (preferred).
• Able to measure and calculate material lengths (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate a chainsaw to make specialized cuts.
• Receive, select, and load materials.
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently.
• Verify accuracy of orders after packaging and loading.
• Provide basic customer service to internal and external customers.
• Work with other team members to fulfill orders and complete tasks daily.
• Maintain clean working area.
• Follow all safety procedures (OSHA compliance).
• Perform daily safety checks on forklifts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
