Job summary

Boise Cascade is hiring a Material Handler (Forklift Operator) to join our on-site team in Wheatland, PA. You will receive, load and move materials, operate a forklift, and ensure orders are accurate and timely while maintaining a safe work environment.

The role involves basic customer service to internal and external customers, collaboration with team members, and daily safety checks in a high-activity warehouse. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience.
• Understand and follow safety/work instructions.
• Comfortable with physical work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to use hand tools and chainsaw.
• Forklift experience (sit-down/counterbalance).
• Familiarity with building materials.
• Able to measure and calculate material lengths.

Responsibilities

• Receive, select, and load materials.
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently.
• Verify accuracy of orders after packaging and loading.
• Provide basic customer service to internal and external customers.
• Work with other team members to fulfill orders and complete tasks daily.
• Maintain clean working area.
• Follow all safety procedures (OSHA compliance).
• Perform daily safety checks on forklifts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
