Job summary

FLANDERS in Longview, TX is seeking two Material Handlers to support the Inventory Department with the movement of materials and to maintain accuracy of stock to meet company objectives.

You will assist with requisitions, kit preparation, cycle counts, and kit shipping readiness. Proficiency with ERP/Syteline and forklift certification will be beneficial, along with strong communication, organization, and attention to detail to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of work experience or related training preferred.
• ERP system experience preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication and comprehension skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills.
• Knowledge using Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a current FLANDERS forklift certification will be required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when processing sensitive information.
• Ability to exercise, initiative, judgment, and decision making related to routine duties.
• Ability to multi-task between projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the movement of materials between departments.
• Submit purchase order requisitions to Purchasing Agent for needed items.
• Enter kit sheets on a daily basis.
• Prepare kits of materials for repair and production of jobs.
• Participate in the company's physical inventory functions (both physical and cycle counting).
• Maintain knowledge of most common material handling equipment and be a licensed fork lift operator.
• Maintain knowledge of Syteline accounting software in order to perform item look up and basic data entry.
• Prepare pick lists and prep completed kits for handoff to the Shipping department.
• Move material through the company via the ERP system.
• Observe all safety procedures and use proper safety equipment as needed.
• Provide outstanding customer service at all times.
• Perform other duties as requested
