Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is hiring a Material Handler Driver for the 2nd shift in Charlotte, NC. The role involves order picking, RF scanning, and safe material movement within a non-climate controlled warehouse environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, prior material handling experience, and the ability to stand, walk, and multi-task for long shifts. Pay starts at $21.50 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operating processes for all equipment in Charlotte DLC.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and assist training of new employees.
• Retrieve and count product to fulfill customer orders.
• Stock and arrange product to support warehouse inventory turns.
• Support distribution by receiving and transporting components to the floor safely and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview:

The Material Handler Driver - Order Picker, under general supervision, distributes either production or non - production items and materials to various locations throughout the warehouse. Materials may consist of purchased parts, in process parts, or finished goods.

Responsibilities:

• Move parts or finished product and delivers mail packages to various department locations and/or warehouse locations using an RF scanner.
• Maintain the required paperwork and documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified procedures.
• Ensure safe operating process for all equipment within Charlotte DLC.
• Ensure work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner.
• Assist with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area.
• Retrieve and count product to fulfill customer orders
• Stocking and arranging of product to ensure warehouse turns of inventory.
• Responsible for supporting the Distribution process by receiving and transporting components to the floor in accordance with predetermined safety, quality, method and sequence standards.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma/General Education Degree (GED)
• Previous Material Handling experience (cherry/reach lift experience preferred)
• Standing and/or walking for entire shift andability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
• Bending and/or stooping repeatedly throughout shift
• Lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
• Be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment
• Hands –on ability to work in a fast-pace, team-oriented distribution center environment.
• Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures.
