Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is hiring a Material Handler Driver - Order Picker for the 2nd shift at our Charlotte, NC site. The role involves operating a stand-up order picker, delivering parts and documents via RF scanner, and ensuring accurate movement of materials across the warehouse.

Expect to work Monday–Friday with possible Saturday shifts on advance notice. Starting pay is $21.50/hr plus $1.50/hr shift differential, with a total around $23.00/hr in non-climate controlled conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for entire shift and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Safe operation mindset for warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Move parts or finished product and deliver mail/packages to various departments using an RF scanner.
• Maintain paperwork and documentation of parts moved per procedures.
• Ensure safe operating processes for all equipment in Charlotte facility.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Retrieve and count product to fulfill customer orders.
• Stock and arrange product to optimize warehouse turns.
• Support distribution by moving components to the floor per safety and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

The Material Handler Driver - Order Picker, under general supervision, distributes either production or non - production items and materials to various locations throughout the warehouse. Materials may consist of purchased parts, in process parts, or finished goods.

Responsibilities

• Move parts or finished product and delivers mail packages to various department locations and/or warehouse locations using an RF scanner.
• Maintain the required paperwork and documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified procedures.
• Ensure safe operating process for all equipment within Charlotte DLC.
• Ensure work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner.
• Assist with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area.
• Retrieve and count product to fulfill customer orders
• Participate in general housekeeping activity
• Stocking and arranging of product to ensure warehouse turns of inventory.
• Responsible for supporting the Distribution process by receiving and transporting components to the floor in accordance with predetermined safety, quality, method and sequence standards.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma/General Education Degree (GED)
• Previous Material Handling experience (cherry/reach lift experience preferred)
• Standing and/or walking for entire shift and ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
• Bending and/or stooping repeatedly throughout shift
• Lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
• Be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment
• Hands -on ability to work in a fast-pace, team-oriented distribution center environment.
• Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures.
