As a Shipping and Receiving professional, you will perform manual and clerical duties supporting the receipt, movement, preparation, and shipment of materials. You will receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment while verifying quantities, weights, and conformance to applicable requirements. You will operate hand trucks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment and use computer systems to maintain accurate shipping and receiving data and records. You will prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, and route materials to the appropriate destinations. You may also lay out, fabricate, and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and boxes, as well as prepare parts, tooling, and other materials for special shipment.
You are a dependable, detail-oriented team member who takes pride in accuracy and understands the importance of properly handling and documenting materials. You are comfortable working in a hands-on environment and can balance physical material-handling responsibilities with computer-based and clerical tasks.
You are able to follow established procedures, safely operate material-handling equipment, maintain accurate records, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You understand that getting the right material to the right destination at the right time is critical to keeping operations moving.
