Job summary

The Carlstar Group in Clinton, TN is seeking a Material Handler to move materials across the production floor, read schedules, and assemble orders for staging. You will label, track, and transport materials, ensuring accurate inventory and timely delivery to production lines.

This role requires basic English communication, at least one year in manufacturing/distribution, and the ability to operate powered equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing/distribution operation preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must obtain/maintain forklift license as needed or required.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements as described.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand production schedules and product specifications.
• Select required materials from storage areas and assemble in orders.
• Pack and/or repack materials, apply labels, and transport into staging areas.
• Safely move materials through production areas using powered industrial vehicles.
• Perform safety checks, report faulty equipment, and maintain inventory with FIFO.
• Interface with tablets and handheld scanners; support production goals with timely delivery.
• Tag and report materials out of specification and maintain a clean workspace.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.

Job Title: Material HandlerFLSA Status: HourlyGrade: 9Job Purpose Statement:Material Handler is a position that is responsible for the movement of materials and supplies throughout the production environment.
