Description

The Custodian/Material Handler will have dual roles. The role is responsible for keeping the manufacturing plant area clear of debris, including bags, straps, boxes, etc., and will handle various tasks related to the safe and efficient operation of manual pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

1. General Housekeeping
2. Sweep and mop floors (break room and restroom)
3. Collect and empty all trash cans
4. Baling cardboard and plastic for recycling
5. Clean outside grounds and parking lot
6. Vacuum production offices and mop QC offices when necessary
7. Use floor sweeper and floor scrubber
8. Maintain cGMP supplies such as hairnets, ear plugs, and beard nets
9. Clean cafeteria daily—sweep, mop, clean counters, cabinets, microwaves, and refrigerator
10. Empty garbage and recycle bins as needed
11. Ensure restrooms are stocked with paper towels, soap, and toilet paper
12. Supply raw materials such as boxes and bags to workstations promptly
13. Stack and label boxes for production use
14. Communicate with the lead person regarding specific job requirements
15. Assist in setting up re-work areas as needed
16. Ensure line conveyors are set to proper length and assist with moving tape machines, worktables, etc.
17. Stretch wrap completed pallets and apply pallet labels
18. Assist in other areas as required
19. Perform other duties as assigned
