Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities
- Required to work a minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week from 7 AM - 3 PM. Flexibility is expected, and employees may be asked to work overtime on weekends and holidays. All scheduling depends on the distribution schedule and the Manufacturing Manager.
- Assist in racking all inbound freight from outside vendors.
- Support other warehouse activities as needed, such as picking orders, cleaning, rework, etc.
- Coordinate work activities with team members, demonstrating cooperative teamwork.
- Operate equipment requiring specialized process knowledge.
- Estimate the speed of moving objects to ensure safe vehicle operation.
- Organize items manually onto skids safely and efficiently.
- Plan and execute the movement or flow of materials or products productively.
- Ask questions if unsure of process steps and seek supervisory guidance.
- Complete requirements to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with finished goods inventory as needed.
- Perform routine aisle audits independently.
- Operate equipment safely and responsibly, ensuring safety for self and others.
- Ensure each customer order is properly wrapped for transport.
- Successfully complete a D.O.T. training course.
- Adhere to all personal safety rules and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High School diploma or GED with 2 years of prior shipping experience, preferably with hazardous materials for air/ocean freight shipments.
- Experience in operating motorized equipment, specifically High-Lift/Reach Trucks.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers.
- Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions, both written and oral.
- Ability to solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
