Job description

Join to apply for the Materials Handler - 1st Shift role at ITW Professional Automotive Products.

Primary responsibilities include:

1. Working a minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week from 7 AM to 3 PM, with flexibility for overtime on weekends and holidays, depending on the distribution schedule and Manufacturing Manager's direction.
2. Aiding in the racking of all inbound freight from outside vendors.
3. Assisting in other warehouse activities such as order picking, cleaning, rework, etc.
4. Coordinating work activities with team members.
5. Operating equipment requiring specialized knowledge.
6. Estimating object movement speed for safe vehicle operation.
7. Organizing items onto skids safely and efficiently.
8. Planning and executing the movement of materials or products.
9. Seeking supervisory guidance when unsure of processes.
10. Fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently.
11. Assisting with finished goods inventory.
12. Performing routine aisle audits independently.
13. Ensuring safe operation of equipment and work practices.
14. Wrapping customer orders to withstand transport.
15. Completing a D.O.T. training course successfully.
16. Adhering to all safety rules and procedures.
17. Performing additional duties as required.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with at least 2 years of shipping experience, experience with hazardous materials for air/ocean freight preferred, and proficiency in operating motorized equipment such as High-Lift/Reach Trucks. Good understanding of instructions, basic arithmetic skills, and problem-solving abilities are required.
