Job summary

PTS Advance is seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse and manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role handles receiving, moving, storing, and preparing materials for production while maintaining inventory accuracy and following safety procedures.

The position offers a 6-month contract-to-hire arrangement with full-time scheduling. Pay is $17.00 per hour, with standard warehouse duties and opportunity for growth within the company as the contract progresses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and standing for long shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inventory issues.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and documentation.
• Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours as needed.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials and inventory.
• Pick, pack, and stage materials for production and customer shipments.
• Transport materials throughout the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with identifying shortages or discrepancies.
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, stand-up lifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools as needed, including utility knives, drills, tape machines, nailers, saws, and measuring tools.
• Load and unload trucks while following established safety procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company safety standards.
• Work closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
