Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc is immediately hiring a Material Handler for the Sheffield Plant. The starting pay is $17.95 per hour and the shift runs Monday to Friday for a 40-hour work week. The role focuses on blending, measuring, and producing raw materials to support industrial coatings, with emphasis on safety and quality.

You will move, sort, and inspect materials, loading/unloading and preparing items for packaging and shipment, in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments preferred.
• Willing to work any role and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Blend, measure, and produce raw materials to manufacture industrial coatings.
• Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods.
• Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
• Load & Unload racks of parts, mask and unmask parts, touchup/rework, process rejects, inspect parts coming down lines, operates a hoist where necessary
• Prepare materials and products for packaging and shipment to customers.
• Work in a production environment with the appropriate safety procedures in place.
