Job summary

Snavely Forest Products Inc in Liberty, NC is seeking a Material Handler - Chainsaw to cut, move, and store materials in a warehouse and yard. You will verify deliveries, label and scan products, and ensure orders match purchase orders while maintaining forklift operations and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pull, and wrap the correct products per the customer order.
• Handle returns by completing documentation and other required communication.
• Keep all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance and logs.
• Cycle counting and identifying any inventory issues.
• Communicating issues, including missing or damaged material, as well as material that may have been pulled or received incorrectly.
• Keep work areas neat and tidy.
• Other duties as assigned.

About this position

Description: As a Material Handler - Chainsaw, you will be responsible for cutting, handling, moving, and storing various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse and yard facility. The main duties will include, but are not limited to, cutting materials to specific dimensions, picking and packing materials, loading and unloading transport items, recording inventory statuses, and ensuring deliveries properly match purchase orders. You will maintain a current forklift certification and follow all company safety guidelines. This position requires patience and steadiness, along with a teamwork mentality.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Cut product to specified dimensions for shipping
• Verify the accuracy of the quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing deliveries
• Label/Scan every product and put it away accordingly

Requirements:

• Follow all policies and procedures in the yard, including sales, inventory, and safety
• Participate in safety training
• Properly use and maintain equipment
• Lead by example, with first-hand knowledge of the area of expertise

• Ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously

Qualifications:

• Experience with chainsaw use and safety procedures

• Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines

Physical Requirements:

• · Ability to lift at least 50 pounds as needed throughout the day
• · Climb, kneel, reach, or bend throughout the day
• · Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, while performing work
• · Ability to operate all equipment on site as necessary
• · Able to withstand environmental temperatures. (Winter, Summer temps)

Pay: $16-19 based on experience
