Job summary

Snavely Forest Products Inc in Liberty, NC is seeking a Material Handler - Chainsaw to cut, move, and store materials in a warehouse and yard. You will verify deliveries, label and scan products, and ensure orders match purchase orders while maintaining forklift operations and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include cutting products to specification, cycle counting, inventory control, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with chainsaw use and safety procedures.
• Forklift certification required.
• Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Critical thinking to solve issues and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work well in a group and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Cut product to specified dimensions for shipping.
• Verify the accuracy of the quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing deliveries.
• Label/Scan every product and put it away accordingly.
• Identify, pull, and wrap the correct products per the customer order.
• Handle returns by completing documentation and other required communication.
• Keep all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance and logs.
• Cycle counting and identifying any inventory issues.
• Communicating issues, including missing or damaged material, as well as material that may have been pulled or received incorrectly.
• Keep work areas neat and tidy.
• Other duties as assigned.
