Job summary

Tomball Controls is seeking a Material Handler in Pleasanton, TX. The role focuses on preparing, organizing, and staging materials for production teams to ensure timely delivery to the floor.

Working Thursday to Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, you will support 5S/lean manufacturing and coordinate with inventory, planning, and purchasing teams. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 1–2 years in a manufacturing or warehouse setting, and the ability to read blueprints and BOMs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or kitting; sheet metal or electrical assembly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory practices.
• Basic computer skills; ability to use scanners and printers.
• Forklift certification (or willingness to certify).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Pull, verify, and stage materials according to job travelers, BOMs, and production schedules.
• Read and interpret work orders, schematics, and part lists to identify required components.
• Label and organize kits for easy identification and transfer to work areas.
• Ensure materials meet quality and quantity requirements; report shortages or defects.
• Coordinate with inventory to maintain accurate stock levels and identify replenishment needs.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or carts to transport kits and materials.
• Maintain 5S and lean practices in kitting and staging areas.
• Assist with receiving, cycle counting, and other materials-related tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with production, planning, and purchasing to resolve issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
