Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Material Handler Level 4 for the Mequon, Wisconsin facility. This full-time, on-site role is a 2nd shift (M-F, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) with a 6% shift premium and overtime as required.

The position involves receiving, storing, and shipping materials, operating powered equipment, and supporting production flow. The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma, be legally authorized to work in the U.S., and bring 4+ years related experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
  • Proficiency in basic computer usage and data entry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials.
  • Operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Enter data, manage cycle counts and maintain records of shipped/received items.
  • Prepare kits and packages for production and shipping routes.
  • Support training and onboarding of new facility staff.

This is a 2nd Shift role (M-F, 2:00 PM –10:00pm ), with a starting rate dependent on experience with a 6% shift premium.**Job Summary:**Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production.**Your Responsibilities:**Used documented work instructions and manufacturing execution systems for receiving, picking or delivering parts. Assignments and processes are moderately difficult. Has ability to work independently and operate multiple Powered Industrial Vehicles to load, unload and transfer materials/finished product. Has advanced process knowledge as a skilled specialist, requiring considerable judgment and initiative to drive systemic improvements. Assembles product as required, delivers material to the production area, picks up waste, and delivers finished product on a scheduled basis following a set route. May also assist with changeover, provide tools and materials, and give any additional help needed to maintain standard work and keep the flow going.May also place reorder requests for floor stock and bulk materials. Reviews documentation and leverages SAP/external systems to assess, replenish, and prioritize material and finished goods to support production and shipping processes. Provides documentation support, materials administration and process support. Performs data entry, discrepancy trouble shooting and manages cycle counts. Supports the training and onboarding needs of the facility by developing and updating training curriculum. Overtime is an essential function of this position which typically requires 8 hours of overtime/week.
