Job Description

Complete material transitions and maintain inventory accuracy by skillfully using electronic and administrative tools. Move, store, retrieve, load, unload, and/or stack products and materials using manual or mechanized (forklift-type) material handling equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of material handling activities including loading/unloading freight, stacking & moving materials within and outside the facility, manually or with mechanized equipment.
• Store/retrieve products and materials to/from storage racks or stands, pallet lifters, tilters, or on the floor.
• Deliver products and materials to manufacturing, assembly, or storage locations throughout the plant.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, audit for correct part numbers & quantities, and perform data entry into inventory systems such as SAP.
• Perform minor and preventative maintenance on handling equipment.
• Assist in continuous improvement efforts and team goals.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and meet 5-S requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including PPE, machine guards, ergonomic practices, lockout/tagout, SDS, and OSHA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Background & Skills

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• At least 1 year of verifiable experience as a Materials Handler.
• Previous forklift experience and operation of mechanized handling equipment.
• Basic computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with databases (e.g., Oracle, MFG Pro).
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Positive team interaction skills.
• Willingness to complete forklift training/license within the first day.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and any shift.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, and pull 50-75 pounds occasionally; up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and use ladders up to 12 hours per day.
• Good vision to read labels, documents, and monitor screens.
