Job summary

Potter Global Technologies is seeking a Material Handler to support on-site warehouse operations in Hazlewood, MO. This full-time role focuses on receiving, organizing, and delivering materials to production, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in packing and shipping processes.

You will work closely with shipping carriers and teammates to meet daily goals, inspect for defects, and communicate stock levels to prevent shortages. A detail‑oriented, collaborative approach is essential.

Qualifications

  • Material Handler experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interact respectfully and collaboratively with others.
  • Able to read and follow written operation manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve products from designated storage locations.
  • Read work orders to pick, package, and ship materials.
  • Identify items and ensure correct quantity is selected.
  • Pack materials into appropriate containers per requirements.
  • Ensure packing prevents damage during transit.
  • Prepare shipping labels and verify addresses.
  • Coordinate with carriers for timely dispatch.
  • Inspect for defects during picking/packing.
  • Update stock levels in inventory system.
  • Support team to meet daily shipping goals.

As a Material Handler, you will support the development of cutting‑edge products from concept through production by ensuring materials and components are accurately received, organized, and delivered to the production floor. Our manufacturing team is looking for someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly. If you are detail‑oriented, organized, and motivated to play a critical role in delivering high‑quality products, this role could be perfect for you!

What You’ll Do
  • Retrieve products from designated storage locations within the warehouse
  • Accurately read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be picked, packaged, and shipped
  • Accurately identifying items based on order specifications and ensuring the correct quantity is selected
  • Pack all materials into appropriate containers based on specific packing requirements
  • Ensure materials are packed effectively to avoid damage during transit
  • Coordinate the shipment process by preparing shipping labels, verifying addresses, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete
  • Collaborate with shipping carriers to facilitate the timely dispatch of packages
  • Conduct visual inspections of products during the picking and packing stages to identify any defects or discrepancies
  • Utilize inventory management systems to update stock levels and communicate any shortages or overages, as needed
  • Work effectively as a team to achieve daily shipping goals
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team goals and project milestones

  • Ability to conduct repetitive movements of lightweight parts (up to 10 pounds/part)
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to interact with others in a respectful and collaborative manner
  • Adequately read and follow written instructions from an operation manual

Location

This is a full‑time position, on‑site at our Hazlewood, MO location. The expected schedule is 36hours per week, Monday through Wednesday, but an occasional shift in hours may be necessary to accommodate project schedules.
