Job summary

VSE Aviation in Bridgeport, WV is hiring for a Full Time Warehouse Associate on 2nd shift. You will work with a team to receive, unload, and document parts, ensuring accurate packing slips and orderly storage.

The role requires physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds and ability to operate within a controlled environment. Responsibilities include using PIV, MHE, pallet jacks, and SAP entries to maintain accurate records while coordinating with the storeroom and repair services.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Receive approximately 769,595 items annually as part of a team.
  • Unload parts into the facility using PIV, MHE and Pallet Jacks.
  • Ensure receipts of goods are documented and verified against the packing slip.
  • Cross-check all boxes against the freight manifest and inspect for damage.
  • Report damage or discrepancy to the carrier and document accordingly.
  • Unpack all parts within a controlled environment and record in SAP.
  • Match customer service orders to incoming vendor parts and place in the approved container.
  • Validate quantity discrepancies and any deviations to the Quality Team.
  • Coordinate dock activities with storeroom and service center.
  • Escalate problem parts for timely resolution and disposition.
  • Monitor unloading fuel and ensure spills are mitigated.

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Receive approximately 769,595 items annuallyas part of a team
  • Unload parts into the facilityby utilizing the following equipment PIV, MHE, and Pallet Jacks
  • Ensure all receiptsof goodsare documented and verified against the packaging slip accompanying the item
  • Cross-check all boxes against the freight manifest and inspect them for visually identifiable external damage
  • Report any damage or discrepancy to the carrierimmediately. Ensure the carrierdocuments the discrepancy on theirinboundmanifest. Segregate the packageor itemsforfinaldispositionand alert Quality Team for review
  • Unpackallpartswithina controlled environmentandprevent removal from the dock untilproperlyreceived into SAP
  • Match customer serviceorders to incoming vendor repair engine parts andplace the part in the approved part container
  • Validate quantity discrepancies, obvious damages to the parts, documentation discrepancies, part discrepancies or any other deviation to Quality Team
  • Route new partsandtheirairworthiness certification to the storeroom.
  • Coordinate dock activitieswith the Product Storeroom, Component Repair Business and Service Center.
  • Escalate problem partsto the Materials Supervisor too ensures timely resolutionandfinaldispositionoftheitem(s)
  • Assist in clearing documents and Open Purchase Orders byperformingGoods ReceiptSAP Transaction MB01andGoods Reversal Reference SAP Transaction MB01
  • Monitor unloading fuel into storage tanks for engine test cells to ensure safety, no spills, etc. If there is a spill, take action to mitigate the spill in accordance with procedures
Qualifications and Education Requirements

Minimum

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • US work authorization

Preferred

  • 2 years of warehouse/logistics experience
  • Inventory management experience
  • ERP system experience – SAP preferred
