Job summary

OBE is seeking a Material Handler for the 2nd shift in Houston, TX. You will move, load, and unload glass and metal products to support smooth production, reporting to the Production Supervisor. Prior production experience and forklift operation are preferred.

Work includes rotating through shipping activities, following safety standards, and maintaining quality throughout the laminating process. The role emphasizes dependability and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work orders and perform basic math.
• Ability to drive a forklift and work around overhead cranes.
• Regular attendance, punctuality, and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Move glass and metal products safely from tables, racks, trucks or crates.
• Operate forklift and work around an overhead crane.
• Transport materials through laminating process stages.
• Read work orders and follow safety, quality, and production standards.
• Inspect product quality and ensure specs are met.
• Read a tape measure and interpret basic measurements.
• Attach labels and paperwork to products and packages.
• Maintain a clean work area and report issues promptly.
