Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4:00 pm - 12:30 am

Job Purpose: To operate forklifts safely and efficiently, handle freight inbound and outbound properly, maintain warehouse orderliness, and ensure accurate staging and loading of shipments. Responsible for proper storage, material handling, and following safety procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist Warehouse Manager to ensure warehouse efficiency.
• Operate sit-down forklifts and/or Walkie Rider.
• Use computers and RF equipment proficiently.
• Load and unload trucks safely, including outside carriers.
• Work flexible hours, including 10-12 hour shifts, and work at heights if necessary.
• Handle stock weighing from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times.
• Ensure shipments are staged and loaded correctly.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and order.
• Process outbound freight as needed.
• Store stock properly and move products into racks.
• Use warehouse sheets to pick orders and load trailers.
• Verify shipment accuracy and complete documentation.
• Operate forklifts following OSHA and company safety policies, including wearing seatbelts.
• Perform daily forklift inspections.
• Handle customer products carefully and report damages or issues.
• Maintain yard organization by spotting trailers.
• Keep dock doors accessible and free of debris or snow.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Work with urgency, accountability, and limited supervision.
• Read, write, and understand English.
• Pay attention to detail and quality.
• Communicate clearly and resolve problems effectively.
• Work overtime and provide shift coverage as needed.
• Experience operating sit-down forklifts and EPJs.
• Build and break down pallets, and handle cross-docking freight.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications:

• 3-6 months of forklift driving experience in a warehouse setting.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
