With hundreds of engineers in-house, the company designs, manufactures, integrates, and installs a full spectrum of intralogistics solutions, including conveyor and sortation systems, voice and light-directed order fulfillment equipment, controls and software, robotics, mezzanines, and structures.

Position Summary

The Material Handler will perform receiving tasks, including receiving and unloading items, verifying shipment condition, and maintaining computer records.

Responsibilities
  • Handle, move, load, and unload materials using hand tools and equipment like tow motors and forklifts.
  • Perform activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking.
  • Load and unload materials onto/from trucks and docks.
  • Operate industrial trucks, forklifts, and other equipment to transport materials.
  • Connect hoses or pipes and operate equipment for chemical loads.
  • Operate equipment for dumping scrap or removing materials.
  • Operate floor sweepers and washers.
  • Assist with opening containers, filling orders, inventory, and checking materials.
  • Comply with Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance and customer satisfaction.
Work Environment
  • Work areas may be noisy and lack climate control.
  • Work around moving machinery and in areas with minimal lighting.
  • Exposed to safety hazards such as machinery, electricity, and trips.
  • Physical demands include lifting, pulling, walking, carrying, and other activities.
  • Follow safety and security policies, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and PPE use.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • Good communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and complete training timely.
Physical and Other Requirements
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, with other physical exertions as detailed.
  • Ability to climb, stoop, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and perform fine motor tasks.
  • Visual and auditory acuity required for the role.
  • Work inside and outside, with exposure to hazards and environmental conditions.
