Job summary

Kapco Metal Stamping in Grafton, WI is looking for a Material Handler on the 2nd shift. You will pick up and deliver materials, load coils, and support production with timely delivery while upholding safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must complete forklift certification program and maintain safe operation.
• Plan movement of parts and materials for production.
• Perform pre-shift maintenance checks of forklift equipment and keep records.
• Identify and inventory materials and dispose of scrap of materials as required.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver raw materials, work in process inventory, and packaging supplies to presses and shipping areas.
• Load coils and return correctly identified materials to inventory locations.
• Maintain neat and organized materials and products.
• Assist production operators with timely delivery of products and containers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities

• Pick up and delivers raw materials, work in process inventory, and packaging supplies, as needed, to and from the presses and shipping areas
• Load coils
• Return correctly identified materials to proper location in inventory
• Dispose of scrap
• Perform necessary identification and inventory paperwork
• Successfully completes forklift certification program
• Practice safe and alert material handling at all times
• Perform pre-shift maintenance checks of designated forklift equipment and associated record keeping
• Must be able to plan for movement of needed parts and material for production
• Keep all materials and products neat and organized
• Assist production operators with timely delivery of products and containers, as needed
• Other duties as assigned
