Job summary

Chicago Tube and Iron Company in St. Paul, MN is seeking a Material Handler for 2nd shift. You will load/unload material, assemble orders for shipment, and operate various handling equipment in a warehouse environment.

Key duties include operating saws and forklifts, loading trucks, verifying material counts, and maintaining safe, organized storage. Basic math and computer skills are required; blueprints reading is a plus. This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and standing/walking 6-8 hours.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude – manufacturing or fabrication experience is a plus.
• Experience with standard shop tools and inspection measuring tools, such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, side loaders, saws, banding, and/or order packing are highly preferred, but not required.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to read blueprints/ shop drawings is a plus.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout work schedule, 6-8 hours per day.
• Ability to regularly maneuver up to 50 pounds.

Responsible for loading and unloading material within a warehouse operation, which includes pulling orders together and assembling them for shipment to customers.
