Summary/Objective

Responsible for material picks for Inter-Company Transfers, Service Order Requests, and POs. Assigns LPs to material, crates/packages material for safe and organized transport. Performs other warehouse duties to support the success of perpetual inventory, 5S, and all safety policies by following established operating procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Picks the material for transfers, POs, and service orders that are released by the Coordinator.
  • Complies with Divisional and Plant Safety policies.
  • Assigns LPs for parts picked, labels LPs with part# and attaches to shipping paperwork.
  • Loads/unloads transfer orders and POs. Service order material placed in Service Rack for pickup.
  • Obtains signatures for transfers, POs, and scans POs to the shipping department to close work.
  • Completes inventory transactions to receive and issue inventory as required.
  • Properly identifies and locates all parts according to established procedures.
  • Completes equipment maintenance checklists.

  • The ability to operate a forklift is required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other team members.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of inventory and manufacturing software; Microsoft software, D365, and understanding of Mobile Devices and scanners.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands

While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active – standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The employee may need to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment includes moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, conveyor lines, and outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is usually moderate to loud. Exposure to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet conditions is possible. PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, cut-resistant sleeves, and seasonal gear are provided. Steel-toed shoes or boots with metatarsal guards are required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full-time hourly position; hours vary based on operational needs. Some Saturdays are mandatory.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • LCI Forklift License required (offered upon hiring).

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 1-3 months related work experience and/or training.
  • Reading and comprehension of instructions and memos preferred.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
