Job summary

LANXESS in East Hanover is seeking a dedicated operator to join the packaging team. The role involves operating various types of packaging equipment, maintaining safety standards, and recording production information. Ideal candidates will have an Associate’s or Technical degree, along with strong communication skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

This regular position offers a competitive pay rate starting at $29.40 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits including retirement plans and training opportunities.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of packaging equipment (feed systems, fillers, seamers, case packers, palletizers, stretch wrappers, pail fillers).
• Work effectively as part of a manufacturing team/packaging line and independently.
• Handle manual fill operations.
• Record production information including batch data, OEE data and production records.
• Adhere to and actively contribute to the site’s safety performance culture.

Qualifications and Skills

• Associate’s or Technical Degree strongly preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalence required.
• Clear and comprehensive communication in English (written and verbal).
• Basic math and numeracy skills.
• Computer / ICT literacy.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Qualified forklift operator.

Location and Employment

Location: East Hanover

Employee Type: Regular

Shift: 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
