Job Summary For the material handler position, the employee will operate either a forklift or a tugger.

Forklift Operator Responsibilities

• Pulling collection carts to various outside areas.
• Loading pallets, cardboard, and plastics onto the carts and offloading them at the recycling area.
• Collecting and loading pallets into the pallet trailer.

Tugger Operator Responsibilities

• Maintaining trash and recycling collected in the main plant.
• Connecting to hoppers and transporting materials to the appropriate collection areas.
• Operating and maintaining the trash compactor.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Completion of a Cisive background check and drug screen prior to starting is mandatory.
• A "contingent start" may be approved if needed.

Education/Experience/Skills

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Preferred zero to four years of previous experience.
• Forklift/tugger experience is preferred.
• Multitasking abilities.
• Time management skills.

Work Environment Qualifications

• Motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity is required.
• Physical effort in handling objects weighing less than 50 pounds is frequent.
• Activities may include pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
