Job summary

Apache Mills, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler for the 2ND Shift to support packaging and production operations in Calhoun, GA. The role requires standing, lifting, bending, and working in a fast-paced environment with safety and quality focus.

Schedule is Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays, from 3:30 am to 2:00 am. Compensation starts at $14.25 per hour, and the company offers health, PTO, and benefits including 401(k), vision and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, and reach.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Must successfully complete drug and background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform shift startups and end of shift duties as needed.
• Spot and remove defective mats and ensure proper labeling and packaging.
• Load and operate packaging machinery and print SKU labels.
• Maintain production totals and complete production forms.
• Collaborate with team members and follow safety procedures.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for Packaging Level 1 Qualified Material Handler positions to join our 2ND Shift Production Team.

This position is regularly scheduled for Monday- Friday-including some Saturday 3:30 am - 2am

There are immediate advancement opportunities for those with the desire, the initiative, and that perform above expectations.

This position requires the ability to (this is not a complete job description):

Perform shift startups and end of shift duties as needed.

• Ability to spot and remove defective mats.
• Ensure proper labeling tag positions and packaging of product.
• Change the plastic on the machine, load the machine and put the information on the computer for it to print the pack SKU label.
• Fill out the production form and keep production totals correct.
• Helping team members in need of help.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
• Meet or exceed company quality standards.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Follow company processes and procedures.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• The ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, and reach while managing material or products.
• work cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with all team members, vendors, and visitors.
• Perform job duties at variable temperatures based on weather conditions (including hot weather)
• Ensure good housekeeping of all areas on company premises.
• Successfully complete drug and background screenings
