We are currently seeking aProduction Technician.

There are immediate advancement opportunities for those with the desire, the initiative, and that perform above expectations. This position requires the ability to (this is not a complete job description):

TheProduction Technician position is responsible for providing technical support, process knowledge, continuous improvement, and production R&D. The incumbent will also develop and implement new processes and procedures, as well as continuously work on existing processes to reduce cost and improve quality. Must have the ability to collaborate with multiple teams including plant maintenance, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and safety. This position requires understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, process automation, and lean manufacturing principles. Must be able to collect and analyze data, develop standard operating procedures, and train others.

TASKS:

  • Learn and understand Apache’s manufacturing, quality, and safety processes
  • Manage equipment settings and recipes
  • Develop procedures and training materials. Lead training sessions.
  • Work directly with manufacturing engineer to collect and analyze production data
  • Suggest process improvements and work with engineering to develop implementation plans.
  • Work with engineering and maintenance on equipment installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other assignments as requested, or as business needs require.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Preferred (but not required) two or more years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Preferred (but not required) understanding of robotics, and vision systems, control systems.
  • Excellent math, time management, and organizational skills
  • Must be very detail oriented and accurate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to learn and understand new systems and technologies.
  • Excellent computer skills with office applications
  • Preferred (but not required) bi-lingual (Spanish)
  • Pass drug screen and meet acceptable criminal background requirements.
  • Demonstrated attitude of safety and quality as top priorities
  • Ability to work overtime schedules including weekends when needed.
  • Technical training and/or experience in the areas of Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing. Highschool Diploma.
  • Requires Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Preferred (but not required) AutoCAD, MS Access
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, World Class Manufacturing or Toyota Production System
  • Other skills and hands-on experience are a plus.
