Job summary

Apache Mills, Inc. in Calhoun, GA is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform skilled repairs on production equipment during the day shift. You will diagnose issues, replace worn parts, and assist in preventive maintenance while keeping tools organized.

We expect 1-2 years of maintenance experience, basic electrical and mechanical knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Daily attendance and ability to read SOPs and operate hand tools are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Able to troubleshoot gearboxes, motors, and gear boxes.

• Ability to read tape measure, calipers and filler gauge.
• Basic welding skills.

• Overtime and weekend availability.

Salary Range: $23.00 To $23.00 Hourly

Apache Mills, Inc., a worldwide leader in floor mat manufacturing, is "Moving Forward" as it continues to grow its manufacturing operations. We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our Maintenance Team.

The Maintenance Technician I position will support the Maintenance Team by conducting skilled repairs on production machinery and auxiliary equipment during the assigned shift at an acceptable quality level to meet or exceed expectations. This position is responsible for communicating machinery and equipment status to determine resource and part needs. The Maintenance Technician is expected to maintain a high standard of housekeeping to sustain 6S principles.

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Day Maintenance Team .

Essential Job Functions:

• 1-2 years of Industrial maintenance experience
• Should be able to troubleshoot/check gearboxes motors, gear boxes,and make sure they are working properly.
• Basic Mechanical knowledge
• Basic Math skills/ read and write English
• Basic knowledge of hand tools knows how to read tape measure, calipers and filler gauge.( Not all of these are required)
• Basic welding skills
• Basic knowledge of how to use shop tools and wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) when operating shop tools.
• Report/Communicate when they see/have an unsafe act.
• Some electrical knowledge would be a plus. (Not required)
• Comply with all safety processes and procedures for safe operation of machinery and equipment
• Read and follow LOTO procedures to maintain safety while working closely to machinery and equipment
• Perform basic job tasks requiring the use of power and hand tools such as wrenches, calipers, screwdriver, hammer, saws-all, utility knife, push knife, scraper, air hose, broom, shovel, squeegee, and vacuums
• Ensure good housekeeping in designated areas including maintaining tool boards and locating supplies and materials in the correct assigned locations
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment on all company properties to achieve the best working conditions for all employees and visitors
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures
• As an employee, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with vendors, visitors and other employees
• Read, comprehend and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Operating Conditions (SOCs), work orders and safety procedures including LOTO
• Review preventive and corrective maintenance schedule to determine priorities for the assigned shift
• Perform operations, maintenances, and repairs at a skilled level in one (1) or more trades (Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Welding, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and diagnose the more complex equipment problems; repair or replace broken or worn machinery parts
• Utilize multiple skilled trades to perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic repairs
• Maintain operating logs on all equipment; record, correct, and report all faults, deficiencies and other unusual occurrences
• Assist higher level Maintenance Technicians with repairs and installation of machinery and equipment
• Prepare documentation for repairs and maintenance
• Work within a team setting in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and be cross trained to perform all essential job duties within the team
• Meet or exceed all performance and productivity standards including working safely, maintaining acceptable quality levels and achieving desired standard output levels
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Specialized training in a maintenance discipline such as electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic
• Perform other assignments as requested or as business needs require
• Pass drug screen and meet acceptable criminal background requirements
• Demonstrated attitude of safety and quality as top priorities
• Work overtime as needed to include weekends
