Job summary

Viant Medical Puerto Rico seeks a Material Handler to move materials, supplies, and finished products across production areas. You will maintain clean, organized workspaces and support a continuous flow of materials between warehouses while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include stocking, reporting, and coordinating with warehouse staff; performing equipment checks, and participating in trainings and safety drills.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Experience: 0-2 years; 1 year preferred; forklift certification as required.
• Skills: Ability to work with others, strong organization, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Safety: Adhere to health and safety standards; wear safety glasses in manufacturing area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain productions area with required materials at all times.
• Provide preventive maintenance to dryers on each material change.
• Remove materials not in use in coordination with warehouse.
• Pack and report shifts products manufactured during the shift.
• Verify materials are in adequate containers for dyers in a designated area.
• Make requisitions or transfers of raw materials for production.
• Remove and weight scrap; report in shift logs.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel for flow between warehouses.
• Identify machines, hoppers, dryers and scrap containers.
• Participate in emergency drills and trainings; adhere to safety standards.
• Attend trainings; perform other duties as assigned to support site.
• Lead or participate in Mayor Cleanings.
