Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler in Missouri to operate forklifts, overhead cranes and other equipment to receive inventory, load and unload materials, and move raw materials and finished goods within the plant, yard, and warehouse.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork. You will contribute to production and shipping, maintain organized material flow, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives in a supportive, diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload raw materials and finished goods from pallets or conveyors.

• Maintain inventory accuracy and support housekeeping and 5-S practices.

We’re looking for skilled and detail-oriented individuals to operate forklifts, overhead cranes or other mobile equipment to perform a variety of intermediate and complex activities such as receiving inventory, loading and unloading, as well as staging and moving raw materials and finished goods within or near plant, yard, warehouse or work site. What You’ll Do

• Load Materials: Load and unload raw materials and finished goods onto or from pallets, industrial racks, trailers, trucks, etc.
• Transport Materials: Transports materials from storage or production areas and places in designated areas.
• Lift and Position Materials: Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials or parts as needed.
• Contribute to Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Maintain and Organize: Keep track of material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards, such as 5-S practices.
