Job summary

BlueScope Buildings is seeking a reliable Material Handler to support receiving, staging, and moving materials within our plant and yard. You’ll operate forklifts, cranes, and related equipment in a safety‑conscious, team‑oriented environment.

Standard hours are Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:30pm with overtime during peak seasons. Starting pay is $23.51 per hour, with training and growth opportunities, competitive benefits, and a culture that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Keep track of material inventory and support housekeeping and organizational standards (5‑S).

Join Our Team as a Material Handler!

We’re looking for skilled and detail-oriented individuals to operate forklifts, overhead cranes or other mobile equipment to perform a variety of intermediate and complex activities such as receiving inventory, loading and unloading, as well as staging and moving raw materials and finished goods within or near plant, yard, warehouse or work site. Whether you’re an experienced operator or eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment, we welcome candidates of all backgrounds to bring their unique strengths to our team.

Standard hours are Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm with some OT required. These hours are subject to change during peak season.

Starting pay for this position is $23.51/hr.

• Transport Materials: Transports materials from storage or production areas and places in designated areas.

• Lift and Position Materials: Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials or parts as needed.

• Contribute to Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.

• Maintain and Organize: Keep track of material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards, such as 5‑S practices.
