Job summary

RRD is hiring for a Part-Time Contingent role in Austell, GA. You will lay up, feed, and stack materials, ensure accurate tracking, and prepare shipments with manual tools and banding equipment. Forklift experience may be required to support loading and movement of goods.

The position focuses on maintaining accurate stock, proper packaging, and safe handling in a warehouse setting, with pay ranging by hour and potential overtime and benefits depending on assignment and shift.

Qualifications

• Stock, move, arrange, and rotate items per operating instructions.
• Complete forms describing stock and labeling requirements for inbound/outbound materials.
• Proficient with shrink-wrap/strapping equipment and common warehouse tools.
• Knowledge of general warehouse layout, codes, and stock placement procedures.
• May require forklift truck experience.

Responsibilities

• Lay up, feed or pile down materials at equipment.
• Jog product off counter stacker and stack neatly on skid to keep bindery/mailing flowing.
• Complete skid flags and packaging slips for tracking.
• Attach tags/labels and record information on cases and containers.
• Stack or bundle materials using banding equipment and clincher.
• May operate/assist with forklift or forklift-like equipment.

Job Description

• Responsible for laying up, feeding or piling down materials at equipment
• Jog product off counter stacker and stack neatly on skid to assure good running in bindery or mailing department
• Complete skid flags and packaging slips to ensure accurate tracking
• Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together, using banding machine and clincher
• May use automated equipment and/or occasionally operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products

This is a Part-Time Contingent position.

Qualifications

• Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions
• Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials
• Good skill in the use of shrink-wrap and strapping equipment, powered lift equipment, pallet jacks, manual dollies, carts or hand trucks and hand tools used in material handling tasks such as hammers, pliers, strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, tape fasteners, metal band sheers and related equipment
• Good knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification codes, basic warehouse procedures, and the storage areas in order to be able to place or pull paper stock, signatures and materials in accordance with standard procedures
• May require experience in operating/using forklift truck

Additional Information

The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $14.42- $18.10/ hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand‑by pay.
