Job summary

Bonduelle Americas is seeking a Material Handler 2 (Shipping) to support our warehouse operations in Dartmouth. The role focuses on fast, accurate order picking, unloading products, and maintaining proper storage and rotation across refrigerated areas.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of forklift experience, basic math and English proficiency, and the ability to work in a cold, fast-paced plant environment while adhering to GMP, PPE and HACCP guidelines.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• 1–3 years forklift experience; some positions require stand-up forklift.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English; basic math comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage forklift to move products and load shipments.
• Rotate stock by date and ensure correct product rotation.
• Pick orders and stage for loading onto trucks in the correct sequence.
• Locate products in the system using scanner and verify pallet IDs.
• Maintain GMP/Safety standards and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with trailer inspections and ensure dock safety and security.

Position Summary

The Material Handler 2 in Shipping is responsible for picking and unloading products rapidly, verifying order accuracy, and ensuring proper storage and rotation. This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production.

What you will Do

• Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety, HACCP & Sanitation guidelines and processes.
• Rotate product by date in the storage cooler while staying in rotation and picking the correct product based on age.
• Pick orders and stage by route. Responsible for loading the product onto the correct truck in the correct sequence to ensure the customer receives their product.
• Locate products in the JDE/DSI system into the designated location using a scanner.
• Ensure all orders are picked on correct pallets (iGPS, Chep, White wood) and wrap pallets.
• Move finished goods from production to the cooler and ensure proper product temperature.
• Inspect trailers for any odor or holes and confirm the chute is clean. Ensure trailers are locked in the dock door.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma.
• 1-3 years of forklift experience (some positions require stand-up forklift experience).
• Ability to read, write and speak English; comprehension of basic math.
• Ability to multi-task and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24 hour plant environment.
• Demonstrated ability to have good judgment.
• Some specialized training such as warehouse clerk type roles with computer experience and / or inventory type roles / exposure.
