Job summary

Generant Company Inc. in Butler, NJ is hiring a Material Handler for the 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 07:00am–03:30pm). The role unloads bar stock using an overhead crane, processes receiving paperwork, chamfers bars, prints and attaches Material Tags, and moves stock to stocking racks.

You will also perform cycle counting, move bar stock with a forklift, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment. QC inspection of incoming stock may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer literacy required.
• Basic math skills including measuring with tape or caliper.
• English proficiency for communication and instruction.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Must stand, walk, and use hands and arms regularly.

Responsibilities

• Unload bar stock from delivery trucks using overhead crane.
• Receive bar stock in accordance with Bar Stock Receiving Procedure.
• Chamfer bars as needed.
• Learn to operate CNC machinery (training provided).
• Enter data into computer system and print Material Tags.
• Label all bar stock with Material Tags and color-code ends.
• Move bar stock onto racks using the forklift and maintain counts.
