In this general warehouse role, you will pack, inspect, and document orders, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with AMI policies while supporting ongoing improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: HS diploma/GED; or one (1) month related experience and/or training.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents; write routine reports; speak effectively before groups.
• Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rate, ratio, and percent; read bar graphs.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions.
• Work Environment: Exposure to moving parts, fumes, chemicals, and loud noise; safety procedures required.
• Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Builds skids/boxes for packing and shipping of all orders.
• Uses crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun and banding equipment as needed.
• Follows AMI packing and preservation policies and procedures.
• Performs quality inspections to maintain 100% quality standards.
• Marks shipments per procedures; stencil shipping information.
• Maintains equipment records and keeps work area clean.
• Follows safety and quality policies; participates in TQM and SPC meetings.

Function in the Job

Job Function

• Builds skids or boxes for packing and shipping of all orders.

• Follows AMI packing and preservation policies and procedures.
• Performs quality inspections on orders to maintain 100% quality standards.
• Marks all shipments in accordance with customer and AMI procedures and requirements.
• Properly stencils shipping information as required.
• Provides maintenance and keeps records of all equipment assigned.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Follows all company safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Participates in TQM and SPC meetings.
• May require lifting up to 50 pounds at a time.
