Job Description

Complete material transitions and maintain inventory accuracy by skillfully using electronic and administrative tools. Move, store, retrieve, load, unload, and/or stack products and materials using manual or mechanized (forklift-type) material handling equipment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Efficiently and safely perform a variety of material handling activities including loading/unloading freight, stacking and moving palletized and non-palletized materials throughout, within, and outside the facility, either manually or with mechanized equipment.
  • Store/retrieve products and materials to/from vertical storage racks, pallet lifters, tilters, or the floor.
  • Move and deliver products to manufacturing, assembly, or storage locations to ensure correct materials are at the right place at the right time.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork, audit for correct part numbers & quantities, and perform data entry into PC systems like SAP.
  • Perform minor and preventative maintenance on material handling equipment as required.
  • Assist in maintaining continuous improvement efforts and team goals.
  • Perform housekeeping duties and meet 5-S standards.
  • Follow safety procedures to ensure personal and team safety, including lockout/tagout, SDS procedures, and OSHA regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Background & Skills
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Materials Handler.
  • Previous forklift experience and a history of safe operation of mechanized equipment.
  • Basic computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with databases like Oracle or MFG Pro.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Willingness to complete forklift training/licensing within the first day.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and any shift as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift, push, and pull 50-75 pounds occasionally; up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and use ladders for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Good vision to read labels and operate computer screens.
