MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Material Handler for our Plymouth, MI manufacturing facility on the 1st shift. You will move materials, prepare shipments, and maintain accurate inventory using warehouse technology to support safe, efficient operations.

The role involves operating forklifts and other equipment, processing shipments, and ensuring materials reach the correct work centers to keep production flowing. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Qualificações

• 0-2 years of related experience; prior manufacturing experience not required.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic mathematical skills for counting, measuring, and verifying inventory.
• Attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping.
• Strong time management, problem-solving, and teamwork.
• Beginning to working knowledge of material-handling activities and processes.

Responsabilidades

• Receive, move, store, and distribute materials to support production.
• Operate forklifts and powered equipment to load, unload, and transport materials.
• Process and prepare shipments, including picking, packing, and loading orders.
• Use warehouse tech (JDE, RFS, RF systems) to track inventory and shipping activity.
• Move, weigh, stock, and organize inbound/outbound materials; maintain warehouse efficiency.
• Perform regular inventory counts and reconciliations to keep stock accurate.
• Inspect materials for damage and verify labeling/packaging meet quality standards.
• Deliver materials to designated work centers to minimize downtime and maintain flow.

Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Material Handler for our 1st shift at our Plymouth, MI manufacturing facility. In this role, you'll keep production running smoothly by moving materials, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory. You'll operate material-handling equipment and use warehouse technology to support safe, efficient operations.

• Location: Plymouth, MI

• Work Arrangement: On-site

• Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 5:45 AM-2:00 PM

• Pay: $19.00-$23.00/hour

• Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

• Overtime: Overtime may be required based on business needs.

What You'll Do as a Material Handler

• Receive, move, store, and distribute materials, equipment, and supplies throughout the manufacturing facility to support daily production needs.

• Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to load, unload, and transport materials and products.

• Process and prepare shipments, including accurately picking, packing, and loading orders to meet production and shipping schedules.

• Use warehouse management technology, including JDE, RFS, and RF systems, to track inventory movement and support shipping and receiving activities.

• Move, weigh, stock, and organize inbound and outbound materials while maintaining efficient warehouse operations.

• Perform regular inventory counts and reconciliations to maintain accurate stock records and help prevent shortages or discrepancies.

• Inspect materials and products for damage and verify that items are correctly labeled and packaged to meet quality standards.

• Deliver materials to designated work centers promptly, helping minimize downtime and maintain production flow.

What You'll Bring

• Work around forklifts, powered industrial equipment, and other manufacturing operations.

• Perform physical material‑handling tasks associated with receiving, storing, and moving products.
