Job Description: Material Handler at GXO

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

Typical Daily Responsibilities

• Support operations by moving materials and inventory throughout the facility
• Utilize hand trucks, conveyors, or other material handling equipment
• Perform duties such as packing, scanning, kitting, or counting products
• Verify orders, label products, and operate a handheld scanner
• Adhere to the 7S program
• Maintain a clean and safe environment at all times
• Work safely to protect yourself and your team members

Qualifications for Success

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Basic math skills, with or without a calculator
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including overtime if needed
• Experience using a handheld scanner
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull
• Handle tools or equipment
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
