Responsibilities
- Receive, load/unload and move materials within the plant in support of shipping requirements.
- Distribute materials to various shipping stations to ensure adherence to shipping schedules.
- Open containers, load/unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand.
- Contribute to the orderly operation of inventory and/or materials storage area.
- Identify and work with appropriate personnel when problems arise regarding equipment, materials, inventory, documentation, invoice discrepancies, delivery or quality performance. Notify management of any critical situations.
- Ensure all material is organized and stored in its appropriate location.
- Maintain a safe and balanced work environment by following standards and aligning with company regulations.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to analyze information.
- Prioritize multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management.
- Process improvement mindset.
- Knowledge of RF scan guns.
- Ability to operate forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks.
- Ability to interpret and support standards, policies, and procedures established by nVent.
Education:
- High School diploma / GED; 1-3 years of direct experience required.
