Job description

Responsibilities
  1. Receive, load/unload and move materials within the plant in support of shipping requirements.
  2. Distribute materials to various shipping stations to ensure adherence to shipping schedules.
  3. Open containers, load/unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand.
  4. Contribute to the orderly operation of inventory and/or materials storage area.
  5. Identify and work with appropriate personnel when problems arise regarding equipment, materials, inventory, documentation, invoice discrepancies, delivery or quality performance. Notify management of any critical situations.
  6. Ensure all material is organized and stored in its appropriate location.
  7. Maintain a safe and balanced work environment by following standards and aligning with company regulations.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to analyze information.
  • Prioritize multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Process improvement mindset.
  • Knowledge of RF scan guns.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks.
  • Ability to interpret and support standards, policies, and procedures established by nVent.
Education:
  • High School diploma / GED; 1-3 years of direct experience required.
