Role Overview

The Material Handler may fulfill multiple roles in the Distribution Center environment to help fulfill the overall mission to process Inbound and/or Outbound freight accurately, timely, and safely.

Major Activities

1. Perform functions in a Distribution Center environment related to fulfilling orders, including Receiving, Labeling, Putaway, Order Picking, Slotting, Replenishment, eComm order fulfillment, Hybrid throwing, Loading, and other specialized roles requiring additional training or experience. May utilize manual and/or powered industrial equipment and RF guns.
2. Document production logs accurately, including changes in assignments, downtime, meetings, etc., to ensure productivity records are precise.
3. Complete other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Minimum Skills and Certifications

• Basic computer skills for certain roles

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior use of manual and/or powered industrial equipment preferred
• Basic warehouse or Distribution Center knowledge recommended; experience in a production environment is helpful

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Frequent lifting/carrying of 5-60 pounds
• Frequent pushing/pulling of materials/equipment
• Frequent standing, walking in the warehouse, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and repetitive motions
• Exposure to temperature variations, moderate noise, vibration, fumes, and airborne particles
