Job summary

AMI Metals, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate to prepare and ship customer orders and assist production. You will build packing skids, use various tools, and ensure orders meet quality standards while following AMI procedures. The role may require lifting up to 50 pounds and irregular hours.

Located within a manufacturing environment, you’ll maintain a clean work area and participate in safety and quality initiatives while supporting shipping and production activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepares customer orders for shipping and helping with production by performing the following essential duties.
• Builds skids or boxes for packing and shipping of all orders.
• Uses crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun and banding equipment as needed.
• Follows AMI packing and preservation policies and procedures.
• Performs quality inspections on orders to maintain 100% quality standards.
• Marks all shipments in accordance with customer and AMI procedures and requirements.
• Properly stencils shipping information as required.
• Provides maintenance and keeps records of all equipment assigned.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Follows all company safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Participates in TQM and SPC meetings.
• May require lifting up to 50 pounds at a time.

• PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• CERTIFICATES:Forklift Certification, Preferred.
• OTHER ABILITIES:Ability to work irregular hours.
