Position Summary

Crescent GE Material Handlers are responsible to perform their assigned duties in a manner which is safe, and efficient while focusing on proper handling of materials in the receiving, packing, picking, and shipping processes. The business will operate as outlined in the Crescent Way- 3 P’s: Purpose, Process, People.

  • Read and understand the Crescent Safety Playbook – Doing it Safe
  • Ensure a work environment which is safe and maintained where our people can safely grow and develop
  • Continually seek out and remove all forms of risk
  • Report all safety, quality, near misses, accidents, mistakes and product damages accurately and according to processes
  • Comply with all OSHA, ISO and company standards

  • Pack, sort and stack products throughout the shift and review completed tasks for accuracy and completion

Productivity

  • Ensure and verify all receiving, picking, packing, and shipping is performed accurately
  • Perform all activities, utilizing tools and equipment (scales, RF guns, auto-bagger, IT systems) to maximize output
  • Ensure all bins and work areas/stations are maintained in an orderly, organized, and trash‑free manner
  • Maintain inventory accuracy
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

  • Responsible for production accuracy and for providing feedback to management regarding errors

Work Environment / Physical Demands
  • Fast paced environment, requiring Material Handlers to adapt to continuous changes in priorities, volumes, staffing requirements
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm’s length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch for an extended period of time
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to do repetitive motions including typing for several hours
  • Walk on concrete floors for extended periods while in the facility
  • Ability to work and operate in a non‑climate‑controlled environment
