Job Summary

This role supports production operations by managing material flow, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of products to internal and external customers. The position is responsible for replenishing production areas, performing inventory control activities, moving materials safely, and verifying product quality and quantities to meet production schedules and shipping deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and replenish production pick locations to prevent stockouts.
  • Empty compactors and scrap bins and consolidate pallets.
  • Maintain material flow with minimal disruption to production.
  • Receive and stock raw components from completed jobs.
  • Verify product quality and quantity.
  • Enter inventory transactions into manufacturing software systems.
  • Perform cycle counts and enter corrections into manufacturing software.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies with production teams.
  • Verify counts before filling pick locations.
  • Calibrate scales and weigh materials to validate accuracy.
  • Put away finished goods inventory upon job completion.
  • Inspect for quality and verify quantities.
  • Record inventory transactions in system.
  • Operate forklifts to move materials across departments.
  • Load and unload trailers, racks, and carts.
  • Provide material handling support to meet operational demands.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and supporting production flow.
  • Errors could result in shipment delays, customer dissatisfaction, returns, or financial discrepancies.
  • Work impacts multiple departments including production, planning, and shipping.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 months of related warehouse/manufacturing experience.
  • Forklift certification required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment and warehouse operations.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills (ERP/manufacturing systems).
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Basic math, reading, and communication skills.
  • Blueprint reading and inspection knowledge (intermediate).
  • Understanding of safety practices and procedures.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing/walking 95+ percent of the time on a hard surface.
  • Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force to constantly move objects.
  • Occasional lifting of 25-50 lbs. / Frequent lifting of 10-24 lbs.
  • Occasionally carry 25-50 lbs. / Frequently carry 10-24 lbs.
